The Open Space Institute (OSI) advises planned giving participants to obtain legal guidance when making or revising estate plans. If you have questions or require additional information about including OSI in your estate plan, our staff is pleased to work with you and your advisors.

If you wish to name OSI in your will or estate plan, we should be named as:

Open Space Institute, Inc., a nonprofit corporation, organized and existing under the laws of the State of New York, with principal business address of 1370 Broadway, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10018.

For your convenience, some sample bequest language includes:

Percentage of Estate
“I hereby will, devise, and bequeath to the Open Space Institute, a nonprofit organization located in New York, NY, _________ % of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate to be used for its general purposes.”

Specific Amount of Estate
“I hereby will, devise, and bequeath to the Open Space Institute, a nonprofit organization located in New York, NY, the sum of $_______________ to be used for its general purposes.”
